I think the only difference between the two is the packaging languages.

Have older lexar usb3 hub (cf, sd), but misplaced it (of course, this purchase was just the trick for finding it).
I bought this to replace a transcend usb 2.

The included cable has the usual usb type a male connector on the pc end but the reader end has an uncommon microb superspeed connector see picture courtesy of wikipedia
