Pros

Lexar nq100 ssd is affordable and worth every penny. Metal casing helps filter out rf interference. Changed the ram from 4 to 8gb with a little more speed than the original.

The lexar nq100 has a 340mbps write speed for 5 minutes with no slowdowns. No more suffering through snail's pace speeds. Much faster than hdd, but it should be considered that spending a few more bucks can always get you a quicker sdd.

Cons

Amazon directs you to a lexar support site that is a dead link. It should have been properly formatted out of the box in my opinion. Only 380gb of space advertised, this is just untruthful advertising. Works okay but not the best value for money. Read... Read More

No problems or issues with the 128gb ssd as the mirror.

No more having to share my computer with the kids.

I am reviewing the 256gb version of the sata ssd.

Write performance on the larger files was also identical with the samsung edging out the lexar on smaller size writes.

Price

All things considered, pretty impressive performance given the price.

My expectations for the lexar weren't high but the price was great so i thought i'd try them.

Bought on sale when the price was more in line with the competition, hopefully the durability is good but no way to test that.

Packaging/appearance

The fit, finish, an packaging was excellent.

Competitiveness

Added to pfsense mirror install on 128gb msata drive.

Highly recommended as a value-alternative to other brands.

Overall, i can't recommend the lexar nq100 240gb 2.

If this drive burns in less than a year i'll update the review.
