Today’s computing world is definitely a mobile one, with a laptop more likely to be the preferred computing device if you need to get work done. I deal with some pretty hefty files of 100-200gb so having a drive that is fast is important.

For a terabyte of data this really is astonishingly small - about a7 in paper sizes!

Sure you can configure a laptop with a couple of terabytes of storage when you buy it and if you’re lucky you might even be able to add an additional drive later in your machine’s life but that pales in comparison to what you can add to a desktop especially in terms of capacity

The maximum i saw was about 470mbs transferring the single large file

The multiple file copy always started out strongly but then faded away to around 100120mbs if i had a lot of data to take off this drive i’d still be off to put the kettle on when the transfer started
