For me, the lg 'myview' smart monitor really shines as a computer monitor. Slim than a smart tv and has all the great fetaures of asmart tv and even live tv content.
The two hdmi and two usb ports are incredibly useful. The versatility of these ports ensures that i can keep all my essential devices connected and switch between them effortlessly.
The overall minimalist design makes the monitor look aesthetically pleasing. The adjustable stand is sturdy and adjustable, allowing for both vertical and horizontal positioning for a customized look.
Cons
Even raising brightness and contrast to 100% and tuning up red/blue and saturation, it's still pale. Menus and subtitles are grey-ish on black, not white on black. I guess lg will go to dumpster in a couple of years.

I found the entire webos user interface depressingly complicated and difficult to navigate.

Though a higher res screen does typically cost more.
If you want a combination smart tv and monitor, there is a lot to offer here for the price.

It displayed a qr code, i scanned with my phone and i was logged in quickly and easily.
Competitiveness
Youtube, netflix, amazon and all the other streaming platforms are available and work well.
I found the picture less bright and not as sharp as my old lg monitor.
They could use some help from ikea to make them understandable.

The screen is fine and theres no glaring issues but 1080p is quite low res for a screen of this size and i felt like this was an issue for productivity
