Firmware update is for use only on pc°øs with windows 10, 8/8. Will only run on windows 10 or mac os x. These do not work properly, their firmware hangs the os itself.

It is durable, as my kiddo uses it for homeschooling and may have dropped it a time or two during class and it still works like new!

Excellent lg gp65 slip external dvd-r driveall lg products are excellent in my opinion.

Had a 45 minute audio file inserted blank and poof it burned perfectly.

Allowed me to access old photographs copied to cds on my macbook air that lacks cd capabilities.

Can't beat it for the price point.

Given the low price and thin design of this device i had my doubts, but i have to say that, thus far, it has worked perfectly.

I bought this $30 lg dvd/cd rw drive to upload some home movie files in .

But this $30 lg drive connected to my mac right out of the box and i was able to copy the files from 20 dvds with no issue.
