Trust amazon and not this company. Don't waste your money. Save your money and buy a better name brand instead.
Uses a mini-usb (not micro or 'c') indicating a very old product. Very finicky to say the least. Also the model number and logo on the case are poorly printed and blurry.

The only way to cause the drive to open is to eject the disk via software (finder, itunes, etc. The drive thinks no ejection has been requested, and refuses to open. Unplugging and reconnecting the drive itself does not help.

This dvd drive is bare bones, for sure -- very small footprint, one light, one button, one cable, not much to it.
Price
I was pleased to only pay $25 for this and it works great with my 3 year old imac.
I give it 4 stars because i doubt true audiophiles will be using this bargain external.
I would not have been surprised to have to pay $100 for a dvd drive, but this one was less than a good meal.
Can't beat it for the price point.
