Pros & Cons
Pros
User interface is well designed and (for me) intuitive. The remote is hefty and very intuitive. The lggui has none of these samsung gui issues, and lg allows you to manually add ota hdtv channels to your existing scanned list.
Denon home theater system. My c1 is now the centerpiece of my home theater. While i do not often use the streaming channels that come with it, they are plentiful and handy.
Cons
The front piece takes 3 screws to secure to the base unit and the screw holes don't line up with the base. Currently, no audio output if attempting to use earc and the tv displays “invalid format” error when attempting to display 4k at 120hz. For the ... Read More
The picture is just to dim. Cinema has an odd tint. A family member has a midrange, 3 year old lg led tv, and the issues with the out-of-box preset are similar.
This is one of the most non-sensical things i have ever heard. Be wary. Huge disappointment and hassle.
The interface feels clunky and slow. Re-enabling wifi in the settings doesn't fix it either. You're supposed to be able to use the lg thinq app to complete setup on your phone. The instant response of the ui now has 2-3 seconds lag like a * smart tv f... Read More

Highlights
Quality
The quality on this was not exaggerated.
Best purchase ever the picture quality is insanely crisp.
The bass isn't super impressive, and the overall sound quality gets slightly worse when listening at higher volumes.
The sound quality coming from the tv is about as good as you can get coming from a stock tv speaker.
Price
Was debating between c1, c2 and sony a80k, but i went for the c1 since the price went down to 1200 (i know, i lucked out).
Packaging/appearance
I wish they offered more standard presets and a better out of the box experience.
Competitiveness
10/10- sound: the built-in speakers are actually pretty good when comparing to competitors.
Has all the normal bells a whistles: usb which i streamed a 4k video from a 2tb 3.
Funny con:coming from a 1440p display, trying to run a 4k 120hz display on a 3080 doesn't work the best.
Honestly, i prefer my old samsung's interface over this one.
