A macbook will require a thunderbolt compatible cable to connect to the computer and the usb c port on the monitor

I also tried using the cord provided with an adapter this will not allow you to utilize 60hz

Mechanisms it does not include line out either analog or digital but instead they gave one of the hdmi ports earc capability as expected for a modern monitor with 2 hdmi ports and while i am glad it has this modern feature it has its limitations because most regular speakers people use dont have an hdmi port but instead they have rca headphone coax or optical without resorting to bluetooth so you will have to buy an adapter most adapters dont support sound from a monitor some support digital output but better have a remote to your speakers because changing volume on this monitor or on my mac connected to this monitor via hdmi or usb c did not change the speakers volume connected to the adapter i had this issue until i bought a purely hdmi arc to rca adapter ryxn ryarc01 and it supports arc from including a monitor like this one converting to analog to your speakers and letting you change the volume using the monitor unfortunately i still cant change volume using any volume control the mac but you can always connect the mac directly to the speakers instead and bypass the screen altogether or use it connected to the screen but just control the volume on the speakers of course you will miss out on the keyboard volume control etc

There are stereo speaker sets from klipsch elac and abramtek from 400600 which may or may not work for you especially considering the cost you can easily get a sound bar for 200 i tried the lg sp9ya sound bar it worked well but the sound is for a large television instead of this monitor and even though it cost a good amount of money sound bar has small thin speakers by design thats why they tend to come with a subwoofer vs a bookshelf speaker that has a fuller or more natural sound so i returned the sound bar since i would rather have near field speakers instead that have less far field noise pollution than the sound baras far as mounting its nice that this monitor swivels and turns and everything but you might have to drill a hole couple inches wide to fit the mounting kit there are instructions included that tell how or your table can be already compatible if you have enough clearance in the back of the table or where you plan to mount this monitor where you can clamp onto unhindered but i had a box apron running along the bottom of the table connecting the legs to the top of the table on all four sides you might not have that issue and the tabletop will fit into the included clamp just fine like mine unless of course is overly thick or inaccessible for some reason in which case you will have to find a different mount altogether although it seems like vesa i tried a dell monitors and it didnt work simply because this monitors vesa is beveled than the dells very square edged vesa solution so i drilled and have the benefits of the stand thats included
