Pros

This is the first blu-ray burner i have owned. It works great for rips of blu ray and dvd. Saving all sorts of files to br-dl, bd-r xlm with no issues. It's a great way to backup your datum.

When playing a dvd it is very quiet. Playback noise level is all that really matters. It is relatively quiet for an optical drive. It operates very smoothly and quietly.

Cons

This is the second lg blu-ray disc rewriter that has failed on me. Could read blu-ray about 3 out of 5 times but dvd's weren't able to be read at all. Attempted to blow out dust and clean the lens with a soft lens cleaning tool, no joy. It works fine ... Read More

A0 but fails due to a checksum is mismatched. This appears to not be resolvable. Better off restarting it.

If you want to backup your uhd and blu's, this drive is cheap and does it well.
