Pros & Cons
Pros
This is an ingenious design and well-thought out grate that may be the best design out there for efficiently burning of firewood. This new one sits the logs higher and logs burn cleaner less ash.
This is my second liberty grate. This is the prettiest fireplace grate that i've ever seen. Good instructions. Would definetly recommend.
Sturdy, cast iron. Wide (i have a big fireplace) and it handles everything i load on it.
Unpacked and set up in a matter of minutes. Packaged well. Easy to bolt together.
Cons
Burned out in many areas and warping. Very disappointed in its durability.
Highlights
Quality
Great quality, heavy and seems like it will last a very long time.
I love the way it feeds the wood into the center so you don't have to keep fiddling with the fire.
Seems like they are having issues with quality control.
I wonder if i'm the only one that had this issue.
Packaging/appearance
Use some sort of a straight edge to align the feet evenly; i used a piece of the cardboard that came with the packaging.
Competitiveness
Get the logs up high enough for an easier starting fire and it made our burning much more effecient.
After reading other reveiws i thought we would try a self feeding grate.
