Flexibility
Customers are highly satisfied with the flexibility of the Libre Computer Sweet Potato Single Board ARM SBC AML-S905X-CC-V2, praising its compatibility with various projects, distros, and code written for the original Le Potato. Some users prefer it as a Raspberry Pi alternative for specific applications like PiHole or Klipper. The board is also noted to have excellent reliability and ease of setup. However, users should be aware that UART ports require additional configuration using the Libre Wiring Tool.
Performance
Customers are generally positive about the performance of this single board computer, praising its impressive capabilities and value for money. Some users have successfully optimized its power consumption and achieved superior video quality compared to previous models. However, some acknowledge the need for an external power source which may not be ideal for all users.

Highlights
Quality
Zero issues with setup or running - great reliability.
This is the first aml-s905x board i have used where i have tested the media center capabilities.
If you are looking to do video encoding be aware that h264 v4l2m2m has not yet been ported to any os that runs on the potato.
Plus there's some minor quality of life improvements like a heat sink, power switch, usb c charging etc.
Price
It the perfect price and performance for such a small task.
But for the price it’s a great deal if you’re willing to put in some work
00 for a 2 gig pi 4 equivalent.
Packaging/appearance
I am very impressed with such performance in so tiny a package.
Competitiveness
The video quality (tested some 4k files) was far superior to the raspi 4 i was using previously.
This is a cheap and good alternative to an older pi3.
Yes, armbian is better suited for this board and very reliable.
