Pros & Cons
Pros
Zinc lozenges are the only kind of zinc that actually works and gets the job done. Helps head off/lessen a cold if started as soon as possible after onset of symptoms. Keeps the virus from replicating in your *.
The lozenge is large and, for me, takes about 1/2 hour to dissolve. Being large and hard forces slow dissolution. Lozenges are able to be absorbed by the mucus membranes of your mouth.
I have salicylate issues so mint is really iffy with me. This mint flavor is a really nice kind of mint. The peppermint flavor is fine.
Unheard of for me with zinc. It's definitely worth it! Ignore the bad reviews. Love this zinc. Have one i.
Cold-eeze uses zinc gluconate (which is next best after acetate, but still not as good) life extension has another zinc lozenge but this enhanced version is the ionic acetate.
Cons
These are not the typical small * lozenge. They have a hard, chalky quality with a very mild peppermint flavor. Tasted like literally a piece of chalk in my mouth.
Highlights
Quality
I use them to supplement my zinc levels and take them periodically, but not every single day.
