Down sidethe flip mouth piece isn’t leak proof and can be awkward drinking out of but i figured out if you drink out of it having the mouth piece vertical not horizontal it allows air to flow and it’s not so awkward

It is leak proof but i wouldnt throw it inside a bag carelessly cus the lid is rubber and doesnt securely close

Dont use protein powders as mine got a smell in the lid and it took months to get it out
