Pros & Cons
Pros
Lifestraw filter removes viruses, microplastics & pharmaceutical compounds. They actually get rid of the chemicals in your water instead of just masking or lying about it. They filter almost everything while brita manages chlorine and odors.
The pitcher is attractive. I set pitcher in sink adjust water to a drizzle and get busy cleaning something in the kitchen. It's beautiful and just as pictured! I have other lifestraw water filters, and i appreciate the clear specifications they provid... Read More
The water tastes great to me and i like the ethos of the lifestraw brand. There’s no after taste or dullness. It tastes better than bottled water.
Cons
The fragile plastic seems like a known/widespread issue. It seems to be a defect in the design.
It’s a bit confusing why the filter removes pfas only to put the clean water into a plastic pitcher. The filtration process is so slow that it makes this product worthless.
Highlights
Quality
The instructions were pretty straight forward and my quality of life has become vastly improved!
Pitcher is a durable material (we’ve already had one of the kids drop it and it survived without a crack)!
After washing really good and going thru the setup process it took 1 hour and 38 min to fill with 10 cups of water.
I drink a lot of hot tea and lately our tap water has been very chemical tasting ruining my tea.
Shipping
It finally went on sale on prime day and i am so glad it did!
Bought this pitcher to take on a cruise as i don’t trust the tap water on a ship and didn’t want to buy cases of water with all... Read More
Packaging/appearance
I'm not bothered by how long it took just not happy the pitcher had scuff marks i assume from packaging around the top on the outside.
Competitiveness
This pitcher is really good for the price, it definitely beats its competitors by a long shot!
I love this water filter because the water tastes great and much better than brita filters.
I bought it because supposedly it removes bacteria unlike the other brands.
We needed something a step up from the britta options.
