I have an old, but well functioning microwave, and it took a few tries to get the timing and power level setting set, but once i did, life was/is so good: i use a 1/4 measuring cup, filled to a little below the top of the cup, and not one kernel left unpopped, i believe that the 1/4 cup measurement is the ww amount for one person.  Read Less
