The game wooly world knows youve registered these amiibo and lets you change your yoshi color by visiting the amiibo tent but the only way to get a second yoshi in a level is to tap the physical character on the wii u game pad while playing

So if you have a kid who wants to play with these just know youll have to take it away from them for a second to load your yoshi into the level then give it back to them if you choose to do the 2 yoshi in a single level thing
