In order for this tool to work you have to know where your inserting it inside the 12 volt outlet.
It has sharp edges, but it snapped in and pulled the port out.

In order for this tool to work you have to know where your inserting it inside the 12 volt outlet

Put it in at an angle so you can reach deep and then press into the tabs and it will pull your 12 volt outlet from its housing

I wasnt able to pull the socket completely out with by simply tugging on the tool

With the tool inserted i was only able to pull the socket out about a millimeter or so

Then i removed the tool while being careful not to push the socket back in

I didnt use the socket that came in this set so i cant comment on that
