I had originally tried to stick the led strip lights directly to the underside of the cabinet but they quickly came unstuck

The underside of my cabinets is unpainted particle board so this is probably not the best surface for adhesion

The led tape sticks to the aluminum and even if it should come loose the translucent cover will keep them from falling down

Even with these the hue lights are very bright but easy enough to turn down with the app

Without the diffusion rods couldve done it for under 30

Highly recommend getting the diffusion rods to protect your lights and reorient them in the future without having to rip them out because their glue is strong and the led strip is very weak

I shorted it a few times and it mustve had a built in protection circuit because it never burnt out or caught fire

It says 24w max and my led strips are 24w so it must be slightly more efficient since it was able to drive them without issues
