Pros

One of my best purchases on amazon. Great quality. Corner tie makes is easy to secure to any cover. Highly recommend this silk comforter.

The silk duvet insert keeps me warm and stays breathable. Even if i just bunch it up and lean against it, it warms me up. This solves the maddening game of tetris i play with sheets and blankets.

Cool in the summer, but delightfully heavy for that weighted pressure. It isn't thick and bulky either. It is heavier than a down version but not excessively so.

It's pricey, but worth it for a hot sleeper. My cats sleep on it often (without permission, but they don't give a rats hind quarters about permission) and they approve and despite many kitty biscuits being made, there are no signs of biscuit making.

Fits snugly inside queen size duvet cover. My partner has an old silk duvet with a silk shell, which seems to have mystical healing powers. The duvet is perfect though.

Cons

Cotton cover defeats the purpose of the silk fill. Too warm for summer in us, at least not for any one whose heater is set higher than 60f. Also triggers my dust mite allergy attack.

I paid about $250 for this when i bought it so i haven't taken chances with it in the wash.

It's pricey, but worth it for a hot sleeper.

I don’t care that i have to pay $60 to get it dry cleaned on occasion.

So far it has delivered all we expected from such a product at that price.

Packaging/appearance

You will want to run this for 10-15 minutes in a dryer on air-only to restore the fluff from the tight packaging.

Duvet was carefully packed in an airtight bag inside a cloth bag inside another bag preventing it from dust and dirt during shipping.
