Pros

I love this book for the same reason some people probably hate it, it's strong theoretical approach. The author is humorous. It is really quite enjoying reading this book. The publishing material of the book is solid.

No no if you want to just refresh some concepts because it's too expensive.

Competitiveness

Note: the 3rd edition has pretty much the same material for a lower price.
