Pros
It's only about 5 years old but its lumpy and our backs are killing us! Sleeping on this is noticeably hotter than without, been waking up with damp hair since i started using it, it def locks in heat.
Reviewer opted for the 3 inch cushions to create the thickest most comfortable surface possible. This one is 3 inches and it transformed the bed into a cozy and comfortable one. Purchased to go in our roadtrek d190v van over the cushions.
Cons
The topper kept sliding around on bed,and i almost fell off a few times. Four nights of poor sleep and discomfort on awakening. It also is not good at preventing you from sweating at night - not breathable at all.

I used a different brand and the pad was too soft and felt like i was sinking into the bed

It is about 3 inches too long on top of the mattress and could be trimmed if needed however it allows the fitted sheet to stay on better

Bit smelly right out of the box but we let it air out for a couple days no more smell and no ripples in the mattress itself
