Pros & Cons

Pros

I love how small this packs down and how simple the setup was! Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Probably easier to get a replacement than replacing the zipper.

It was packaged very well, and is super easy to assemble. It appears very sturdy & weighs more than other similar rocket stoves that i also checked out.

Cast iron top is large enough for a 12 pan or dutch oven. Cast grate is attached with screws. Works great as a twig burner for cooking all sorts on.

Did a quick heating test using the rocket stove. We use this on our camping trips when the temp drops and we are outside.

Quality

Equally robust some heat retention will be good and designed in such a manner as to direct the heat outwardly when you're cooking.

Real sturdy stove, fairly large area for the wood, i use a grill from another product (a grill would be nice).

Started fire and let heat for 10 minutes before testing performance.

Price

For an extra $20 or so, this stove is much, much sturdier, and starting a fire, even on breezy/windy days, is pretty easy.

Packaging/appearance

It was packaged very well, and is super easy to assemble.

I did not buy this for back packing.

You are not going 'back packing' with this, weighs way too much for that.

Arrived in good condition, seems to be a very decent stove.

Competitiveness

It appears very sturdy & weighs more than other similar rocket stoves that i also checked out.

Maybe, but there are still better options.

It seems pricey compared to the other camping stoves made of stainless steel or titanium, but it is not.

Some of the decent stainless steel stoves cost about 3035 but they are too flimsy and annoying to put together in my opinion
