This tool works well but you have to learn how to tap it upside down to shake the lint into the pink container

If you dont do this the lint builds up in the area of the cutting blades and bogs down the motor

I was using this on a dress with very thin fabric and ran it over a seam in the sleeve which was slightly raised and it did cut a small hole in the fabric

I guess thats the flip side of this being a device that actually works as opposed to the ones that dont actually do anything at all

There are 3 sharp blades that pull the loose lint in and then cuts it off where it gets stored in the lint trap until cleaned

It has an on and off switch and makes a light humming sound when in operation

Theres a clear plastic safety cap that you just pop off before using
