Sliding those together are easy but underneath the track you also have to get these two plastic notches to hook into each other

It’s not necessarily hard to wiggle them together but i doubt an 8 or 9 yearold could completely link track pieces together correctly

The circle is a little annoying to work with unless you want it to go under a christmas tree

Well for kids it can be hard for them to correctly place the cars on the track because there is a lack of a long straightaway to be fair the box says 14 years old and up
