Pros

The train is so cute! The cars are well built and durable. My toddler loves mickey and is obsessed with this item!

Has fun train noise, but not overwhelming. Lots of play time and zero problems.

The remote control is excellent, and whilst the track is plastic, it is sturdy and lays flat. On the remote, there is a speed control which is nice and easy to navigate by a toddler like mine. It is quickly and very easily righted!

Cons

The plastic has a matte finish, the train has hard time staying on track, the remote has a lag. Compared to a lego duplo train quality, this set feels cheap and clunky. Expected higher quality from lionel. Merry christmas junk manufacture.

The tracks are hard to connect and disassemble. The track itself is also very flimsy. The train cars fit together is so flimsy that if you so much as lightly touch one of them they pretty much disconnect.

The train stops every 2 seconds or so and just won't move until you turn the remote off and on. It appears the box was smushed in transit and unfortunately there is a chip in mickey's ear. Now it just beeps nonstop when trying to pair the remote again... Read More

The couplers are flimsy, and are frustrating to use because they get detached every time the train gets knocked over.

Train will also beep when remote is disconnected and keep beeping loudly!
