The train is great. Given this problem, it's pretty pricy, but i don't regret buying it. The karts are so well made and sturdy.

Set comes with enough track to make around the tree with no problem. Passed it along to grandchild. Along comes another grandkid. We have 2 grandkids that look more forward to playing with the train at gabby's than seeing santa.

The train makes noise, the headlamp lights up, but the wheels turn one revolution and then stop. It still makes sounds but the motor is not pulling the engine. The train obnoxiously beeps if it is switched on and not paired to the remote.

The lionel train is an absolute piece of garbage. This train is junk. This product is not acceptable. It is too expensive.

Second one that was provided worked (usually) during the season but had periodic problems and tore through the batteries. There were also no instructions to be found in the box.
