The wood is lighter than in the picture (more yellowish wood), which is prettier than i expected. Good price and very entertaining. Only problem is as you use them the coating on the wood fades.

The water appears on the bottom. Condensation pools over from any large cold glass onto the surface it is supposed to protect. Did not soak up the glass sweat and cracked from water log. They scratch your table.
