    I realized that i hadnt changed the coolant for almost 140000 miles so rather than just replacing the water pump i decided to clean the cooling system using the liqui moly 2051 radiator cleaner and replace the coolant

    Im guessing that there was some mineral deposit in the water pump that caused the squealing noise and that was removed by the liqui moly
