The metal hook that fastens to the air vent in my car is sturdy and dependable. It stays firmly where placed and does not rattle when driving along. Road vibration makes the phone'sink' to the maximum 'level' position.
The mounting bracket installs in the vent by simply turning the knob. The holder then installs on the mounting bracket by unscrewing the washer on the back. It installs very easily.

Packaging/appearance
Only gave 4 stars due to to the packaging.
This arrived today in a very flimsy box, half the parts were outside of the packaging, was a little worried when i opened the package.
My worries were put aside when i took the rest of the pieces out of the package.

You press the button on the top at the back to “open” the side clamps and then squeeze them to the required tightness

I haven’t had it pop out at all over rough terrain and the vent clip has not loosened nor has it caused any damage to my vents
