Works great with ipad very sturdy and fits well on desktop and other surfaces doesn't slip around.
It's held in place with sticky adhesive, so i was able to pull it off and recenter it, but it got bent a little in the process.
The base does swivel, so once you set the height and angle you want you can smoothly turn the laptop.

The only issue i had with mine out of the box was that the metal cover disk at the center of the base was off center
