The rectangle magnet is on the back of my phone under my phone case and it magnets very strongly to the clip now. Double the holding power and the magnets are on a movable pivot head.

Cons
The magnet is not strong enough to hold a iphone14 on the curve of a dash. The adhesive on the product is dull. As is, my case is plastic so the magnet can't hold my phone with it on.

The magnetism is strong as long as your phone magnet is on the outside case or the case is thin with the magnet on the inside

I do recommend that you don’t use the clear protectors to stick it to the dash bc it will not hold
