As other have mentioned the channel at the top of the jaws inhibits clamping of very small parts less than 14 inch

I think people who have had issues with fitment may be using it on the wrong size vise

Yes they are aluminum yes they do fit in my vise yes they do not mar certain materials

So i ordered the jaws and the jaws came rather swiftly in the mail and i took them out into the garage

So i take the lisle jaw pads over to my chas parker vise and put them on and they did not fit well at all the reason being why they dont fit well at all is because the lisle jaw pads are designed in a 90 degree fashion and the parker jaws are sloped at the top causing the jaws to teetertotter on top of the vise and not work correctly

That being said it looked like my rifles barrel was going to slip out of the bottom of these however it never happened
