Pros & Cons
Pros
These vice jaw pads work great for all your chrome parts on harley davidson motorcycle or any metal. They will stick together a bit if you clamp them together, but that is true for any two pieces of rubber you clamp together. Great to have when workin... Read More
Cons
If an item is clamped enough to hold it securely in place, the pattern on the jaws gets imprinted on the jewelry piece. The magnets in these pads are a joke. When you clamp the vise the jaws stick to the thing you are working on.
Highlights
Quality
Reading some of the other reviews i might be out of touch with the modern age, but i think these jaw pads are great.
The quality is ok, so i will keep this for my other vise, a 4 incher.
Price
The cost was great, they arrived very quickly and were exactly as advertised.
Competitiveness
Bought these to use with a tekton 4 inch drill press vise.

They are pretty wimpy magnets

Yeh sure the magnets are weak but if it really bothers you just replace em with better ones or some velcro or something

They will stick together a bit if you clamp them together but that is true for any two pieces of rubber you clamp together it is not the magnets pulling the pads toward each other

If you want jaw pads that wont move when you push on them when the vice is open or you want to have the jaws touching your project lightly and still be able to shift your project around without holding the pads still you are looking at the wrong type of product no matter how strong the magnets

But they are hard to find if they even make them anymore because most folks me included dont like going to the trouble of replacing the jaws

Amazon has wrongly included this as a recommended accessory for a vise that it wont fit
