Pros

Lights are great. The packaging isn’t as reinforced as it should be, though. My only complaint is that is was shipped to me in only the flimsy retail packaging and not within a shipping box.

A surface mount kit can be purchased or you can bootleg it like i did. Its easy to mount to different surfaces is you're clever and don't mind making some minor modifications or drilling mounting holes.

Excellent upgrade, wish i had done it sooner. Worked great in new install of drop ceiling. Easy to install, lightweight, beautiful to look at.

I'm happy to get the old fluorescent unit out and into the trash heap where it belongs. There’s no more buzzing ballasts from fluorescent lights, which is great.

Cons

Packaging is horrible, just a flimsey box with no corner protection or other padding. Even though it appeared on the advertisement that it was a flush-mount fixture, it really isn't. It was sent bashed in.

Be advised you can buy these lights at home depot for the same price.

The price has also dropped since i purchased it last year.

Consequently the edges were dented in three places.

Both panel arrived dented on two sides.

The packaging isn’t as reinforced as it should be, though.

Also, note - my package was damaged and frame dented.

Competitiveness

I was happy that the brightness matched that of the older fixtures and that the light color specified as 4000 deg also matched.

I purchased this lithonia troffer fixture because one from another brand failed.
