Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

It works well enough in a pinch, after all. With practice, it geets easier. Work like a charm. No real complaint though.

Use olive oil on the edges of the stopper prior to use and then use that to make the edge of the syringe slick. The opening that you put into the cats mouth is pretty big.

Lixit feeding syringe is made of sturdier plastic than some syringes. Good for large birds, cats, squirrels etc.

Cons

May be better suited for large parrot offspring. Not fir use with smaller birds.

The rubber tip on the plunger of the syringe fits so tightly into the cylinder as to make it impossible to control.

Quality

My dog hates his vegetables so i use a good processor to blend everything make it like baby food and squirt it in his mouth lol

This syringe has been reliable and seems better quality.

The inserted rubber has ni friction when pulling and pushing the lever.

Food just drips out of it and when getting any into the cats mouth it’s a lot and can be dangerous if they choke or aspirate.

Price

This item is handy and for the price, it is a single-season use item.

Overall they are cheap and effective - helped save my kitties life during a battle with hepatic lipidosis.

Wish they wouldn't run out so often or see their price go up off amazon.

Packaging/appearance

These are 35ml and and i only have to pack it a few times unlike the small feeders with the larger opening.

Competitiveness

Unfortunately, i don't know what the better brand i've used was, because it had been given to me by a prior vet.

Unlike other brand, it gets stuck and break and unable to remove the rubber once it get stuck.

If i can't find a better feeding syringe on the market, though, then i'd use this lixit one.
