It's an awesome investment that was long overdue. A perfect size for a small round loaf. Cooks beautifully.

Needs to be seasoned every once in awhile. Comes preseasoned and worked well.
Cons
My lid has a very sharp glitch. Too heavy for that. I have several skillets but this is unbelievably heavy! This is dangerous! Don't buy this. They are oblivious to problems!
After the the first wash in washing machine a piece of cast iron was peeled. Basically rusted after washing with just water. Coating was already chipping away on the pot. Surfacing on handles had flaked off.
Rust dripping on your food is not desirable. Maybe the iron taste is better than the taste of charcoal! Multiple rust spots and discoloration throughout the oven.

Apparently, non-stick cookware is now bad for you, so my wife wants to use more cast iron.

Well worth the price, definitely something to be passed down !
All in all very happy with this five stars for sure best 50 bucks i spent this year.

Are there more expensive polished pieces of cast iron, out there are, yes, do you need them, you do not.
