Highlights
Quality
The skillet is made with lodge quality in a lighter weight.
Excellent pan-not too heavy but cooks evenly
It is very rough, even the cooking surface.
First test was chicken just raw chicken with no oil or anything and it only stuck a little bit!
Price
It was like $16 and is still my favorite pan.
Great price and amazing quality as expected from manufacturer
It's overpriced and the image, lettering and rings on the bottom are raised.
This pan is mid-tier priced, so yeah, not perfect.
Packaging/appearance
I would however give the packaging zero stars as it was sent in only an envelope.
This is the second one that was packed poorly.
Other lodge products i've ordered were packed well in the company's own boxes.
Competitiveness
Worthy competitor to the much more expensive light weight brands.
Price point is reasonable and better than the higher end kitchen stores and the weight is better and there is no difference in the quality.
Compared to other cast iron skillets of similar size, the blacklock skillet's reduced weight is a game-changer.
