Pros & Cons
Pros
The weight of this pan is not too heavy so as to be cumbersome. While the weight is a testament to its durability, it's something to be mindful of.
The lodge crs12 carbon steel skillet combines the best of both cast iron and non-stick cookware. From searing and sautéing to frying and baking, this skillet's ample surface area provides enough room to prepare meals for both small and large gathering... Read More
Cons
Not even worth using. But the warp makes it pretty much worthless. I won't be fooled again in to thinking carbon steel is suitable for anything but open flame. After five shipping delays, this thing is a monumental letdown.
There is a gap large enough for about 2 quarters, 1 pictured, between the level and the pan. My homemade flour tortillas all burn in the center and don't cook on the edges.
It's very rough and should be sanded and re-seasoned. All oil immediately flows to the perimeter. No way this will ever even remotely be non-stick without significant resurfacing.

Price
Also the silicone handle covers are worth the money.
Packaging/appearance
Pan came with scratches out of the box & a little rust.
Competitiveness
These both perform wonderfully and i have other carbon steel pans that cost 2x-3x more than these, but i prefer the lodges.
