These both perform wonderfully and i have other carbon steel pans that cost 2x-3x more than these, but i prefer the lodges.

Now this pan particularly seems a little lighter and thinner then some other products in this category but it dont seem to hurt the longevity or performance a bit

But something made me look at it again and i scrubbed off the rust and took my time with it applying a few coats of seasoning just with canola oil

I see a lot of returns for this carbon steel pan i’m almost sure people are not seasoning the pan correctly do not use to much dish soap i just run hot water on it and wipe with a sponge everything comes right off after each use season with olive oil until it smokes wipe off excess oil that’s it done lodge pans are very good quality

I would say the factory seasoning is mainly for rust protection and is great for that
