Pros
Hot water and kosher salt keep the seasoning in tact. Cleanup is a breeze.
This griddle fits on both my weber grill and my traeger *. Because we have a 5th burner (long oval shape) on our gas range this is an ideal solution.
Heats evenly, easy to clean and has sturdy handles. Heat distributes evenly and quickly. Makes it a little cumbersome to store in my turtleback trailer.
It performs flawlessly for nonstick pancakes after that. This pan excels at both.
Cons
I am greatly disappointed by this blatant false advertising, and am going to return it promptly. It is truly terrible for this purpose. I will try to call lodge on monday between 7 and 4 central time and hopefully, they replace or refund.
The griddle warps when heated and becomes unstable on cooktop.
Little bits get left in the texturing that takes excessive scrubbing with a brush to get clean. Would not recommend for kitchen.
The packaging is completely ridiculous that a carbon iron materialed item would have this much damage. Because it heats unevenly it’s difficult to season properly. The scratches look as if they might have been present before it was shipped.
Hot spots, poor nonstick and bowed shape are problems for any type of cook top. Did not work on induction stove-top.

Packaging/appearance
Inside the box it was just with a bunch of paper and not wrapped.
I believe it was packed with that scrape because nothing in shipping or packaging would have caused this.
It looked great tho, was sad to have to return it.
