Pros

Bought this dutch oven for chicken and dumpling. It's the perfect size, 7 quarts, for most of the recipes i might cook in it. I like all my lodge enameled cast iron as well as my lodge seasoned cast iron. I also use it for a 7 qt. Casserole with lid.

Cons

This roaster is so heavy that it is difficult to use. Not durable for biweekly sourdough baking. Replaced it with a cuisinart.

There are no exposed cast iron areas on your enameled cookware. The enamel is uneven and thin. Several areas have the black iron showing through the enamel.

The ad say free returns, but its untrue. Seller has a no return policy. Lodge better get this fixed, or their reputation will nosedive.

While this doesn’t impact the cooking ability, it was still dismaying to have it get so easily dinged second time it was washed.

At a fraction of the price, you get a finely made and versatile cooking vessel from a company with more than 100 years of experience.

There's no way that i was going to spend the $$$ for a glazed dutch oven from le creuset or staub.

Might have cost me $10 more but totally worth it.

My budget doesn’t afford me a le cruset.

Arrived on time and as promised it is.

As soon as the shipment arrived i was ready to try it out.

I received it one day last week.

Then the next one arrived and the cover does not fit as securely as if should but i kept it.

Packaging/appearance

Got a completely different type of packaging with no damage.

This arrived in perfect condition and made the perfect gift for my sister.

The first pot arrived in a damaged box and enamel was chipped but lodge quickly rectified and the second pot was perfect.
