Pros

This cover is a nice addition to the loge 10 1/2 grill pan or any same size loge cast iron pan. Fits 12 inch skillet perfectly. The only thing i don't love are the pyramid protrusions from the top which allow the condensation to drip back into the pan... Read More

The weight of this self basting lid holds some of the pressure in the pan and acts like a semi-pressure-cooker. We have many lodge products and this does not disappoint. I get compliments from family members and i always say, it's lodge.

Cons

The basting spikes on the underside of the lid mean that you can't thoroughly scrape it clean. It gets way too hot to lift up the lid and one needs to use a mitten to do that.

I ordered from amazon cuz i wanted/needed it same day rather than a week's wait from lodge.

I was surprised that lodge would allow a defective product to be shipped to a customer.

Smelled a little like rust when it came, and was not packaged in its own box, so i don't know if this was a return or not.
