Pros

This pan impresses with its premium-grade durability and consistent heat retention. The finishing on this pan is impeccable. The smooth surface is a clear indicator of the attention to detail.

It still works great for items that you don't need a lot of height. Love the 2 small handles, not a long one so storage is easier. Good heft too.

These handles are a game-changer when transferring the pan from stovetop to oven. Can use on stovetop or in the oven.

Cons

It is hard to believe someone would grind a pan like that. The lid should also be cast iron. Save up your money and buy yourself a dedicated, outside-use only, propane-powered ooni (or other major brand) pizza oven.

There are several places where the black finish is thickened and peeling off, exposing areas of unfinished iron. If you are an antique collector maybe it makes sense. I'll stick to my old refurbished truly non- stick cast iron thrift store finds.

I love a good cast iron skillet.

Excellent product, easy to use and clean.

If things get caked on just boil some water and you can wash it clean after!

Forget being able to tilt it for emptying.

I rate it a four based on price and a reasonably good casting.

So for less than 30 bucks i get a solid pan delivered to my house that's actually too rough to cook eggs in.

This is a nice pan, especially for the sale price we got it for.

Shipping

I was surprised that lodge would allow a defective product to be shipped to a customer.

The delivery man would have to work pretty hard to demolish this one, although they might want to.

Competitiveness

They're better than any non-stick pan you can buy today.

Can't say that about my other cast iron pot from another brand.
