Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect patty for pre-season 80/20 fat ground beef with salt and pepper generously. It ensures that meats (such as bacon strips and small steaks) stay flat *and* get seared evenly.
Cons
Out of the box it's clear this isnt a product designed to last long. Having to assemble the handle was a very irresponsible requirement. They are deceptively misleading by the picture they show when purchasing. The rust is horrible.
The press itself is light. The rectangle design is rather obnoxious when put to work on anything that isnt bacon. There is a lip on this that prevents it from sufficiently “smashing” patties.
