Pros & Cons
Pros
Food tastes sooo good with this griddle. Actually got this to make crepes with. Great for crepes, pancakes, and grilled cheese.
Came perfectly pre-seasoned. But it needs seasoning. Make sure to season it once in a while to avoid rusting.
Lodge is a respected brand in cast iron, this griddle proves it. I cook a lot of indian food like rotis, dosas and naan which needs a pan to make them.
Cons
It says ore seasoned but what ever i cook on it gets struck or burnt. I know how to heat and make tortillas and was rather disappointed when the tortilla stuck and burnt the pan.
The surface rusts rapidly. It rusts so easily if we don't wipe off the water even for an hour. Paper towel become black and brown color.
Highlights
Quality
Extremely pleased with the results so far!
Lodge cast iron dishes are really high quality and yet reasonably priced.
I also hit a golf ball with the backside of it that approximately went to the moon.
Price
Great for making bisuits, and worth the price!
Packaging/appearance
Nothing beats a freshly made tortilla hot off the comal.
Competitiveness
The pre-seasoning is a game-changer; it adds a rich, natural non-stick finish that improves with time.
We make dosa, chappati, omelet and etc everything comes out great.

The cast iron is on the rough side and it is not realistic to assume the 34preseasoning34 makes the pan nonstick
