Pros & Cons
Pros
The lodge brand is the best, made in america, heavy-duty, just like grandma used to use! This brand of cast iron was recommended to me. Lodge is a trusted brand and i am very happy with this purchase. We could not be happier with these! Some made in c... Read More
People unfamiliar with cast iron often complain about food sticking. Getting used to a cast iron skillet vs a non-stick was the only obstacle. These are heavy skillets, which works out during the pandemic with my gym closed.
Cons
These pans are horrible. These are supposedly pre-seasoned. The pan handle was broken off upon arriving. I don't want to go thru the hassle if i will receive the wrong order again.
Highlights
Quality
These are high quality cooking instraments that will likely last for the rest of your life if cared for properly.
Solid, sturdy, easy to use and keep clean.
Some of the best steaks and burgers i have ever made and no "unpaying customers (family and friends)," have ever said the food is terrible.
Tired of teflon pans that have to be replaced every few months.
Price
Great value and a perfect gift for my nephew and his new bride.
Pricing is great value for what you get, easy to clean.
I thought this was a great price for 3 cast iron skillets.
The price is more than reasonable, as well.
Shipping
:)they arrived 4 days earlier than expected, which i loved (expected 02/02 - 02/05).
The middle one had a couple spots where the seasoning chipped off in shipping.
They were seasoned when arrived, so a quick wash and coating of oil and i started using them.
Packaging/appearance
You will be giving these to your grandchildren in perfect condition.
Shipping issue is packaging could cause a lot of the issues here in the comments.
My pans came with no imperfections, rust, or issues of any kind and were nicely packaged.
