Pros & Cons
Pros
These are a must have for the cast iron skillet cook. It insulates well and doesn't melt. These do a good job of providing insulation and grip for cast iron pans.
These are very simple, but very functional. Put them away in the drawer when you are done. Easy to slip on and off easily but secure in use.
Cons
It befuddles me why these weren't treated with a simple fire-retardant spray. The material is not fireproof. And the reviews noting the flammability are scary.
Buyer beware. It is of minimal usefulness. Do not buy.
Each one is thin and flimsy. The stripes are all crooked on the red one. These are tiny.
Highlights
Quality
They are easy to clean by just throwing them in with the wash.
Great quality and add an attractive flare to my skillets although all they needed to do was insulated from heat.
These nits don't detract from what is overall a good product.
I had gotten one of these with the purchase of a cast iron skillet, and it just wore out.
Competitiveness
Of course they'll burn if you leave them on!
I get that if you put something in the fire it'll burn but i didn't think this was close enough that it should have been a problem.
