I don't know why logitech stopped making it, but certainly the discontinuation of such a high quality item will drive the price up.

Have had it for about 4 years and it's still going strong, just not compatible with the newer version logitech devices connectabilty.

Needless to say, i'm not very happy with logitech.

The device is certainly 5 (or 6) stars, but the price was extreme due to the fact that logitech doesn't make it anymore.

Price is high but worth every single penny!

Takes forever to get the pointer across the screen (yes, i've adjusted the sensitivity).

After much gaming the plastic becomes indented from the microswitch into the plastic.

The replacement trackball is a model m570, and it is garbage.

Or fund telekinesis research -you've got a lot of options!

I finally broke down & tried logitech's thumb driven wireless trackball for a year or so now & its horrible in comparison, i hate it.
