I am very satisfied with this mouse and it has never had a sensor error and is very good quality.
They were never replaced due to failure and always due to wear from use.
I bought this one after my roughly decade old proteus finally started having issues.
Price
Sensor is right on the money and extremely responsive.
The risk was basically the $40 because i would not be able to consciously and fairly return it after my 'mod'.
Other then that, great mouse for the price and i was lucky enough to catch it on sale :)
Shipping
I ordered it on a friday and it came the following tuesday, on the exact day it was supposed to arrive.
Though, they will deliver it to your address specifically, as it seems po box delivery is unavailable for this type of thing.
Third is the delivery:it didn't take long for it to get here, but that could be different in your area.
Packaging/appearance
It’s packed with features, ultra-precise, and built to last.
Came with weights in a nice package.
Competitiveness
In terms of tracking, the hero feels way better than the core and the pulsefire raid.
With that being said, the g502 can definitely compete with the lightweight mice that people claim are so much better.
Now, let's compare this to a normal run-of-the-mill mouse since this is probably the biggest competition.
I don't recommend this for shooters especially those who are super competitive.

Mouse is plug and play got it up are running and got the software downloaded in minutes

Due to the placement i do have issues reaching the g7 button without adjusting my hand to press it

It may be possible to reach it with your thumb but its not easy to do

The middle mouse button mmb is somewhat hard to press for me mainly due to the required pressure needed

Its considerably more difficult to press than any of the other buttons even the other mousewheel buttons

Though all of the button functions can be swapped and changed so its definitely possible to assign mmb to a betterpositioned button like the dpi shift button
