Pros & Cons
Pros
The g502x is a bit wider than the g502, very slightly, but noticeable. The scroll wheel is tighter than the old g502 (not rattly), but doesn't feel as nice in the infinite scroll.
The g502 x lightspeed is wireless. While other mouse have only preselected settings, and complicated system of adjusting. Excellent battery life as well. The mindful attention paid to the battery life.
Cons
It's like 1000x louder, sounds like nails on a chalk board. Mouse is bigger (not as comfortable)- no led.
Highlights
Quality
The quality is amazing and the ergonomics feel heavenly.
The biggest feature with the g502 x lightspeed is the fact it is wireless.
At this price, the mouse should be bundled with a charging dock/puck to entice buyers into a more convenient product.
The leds are really weird to play with.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging was similar to apples and was a fun experience.
Competitiveness
It is indeed a lot lighter than the previous g502, and it feels very comfortable.
The logitech g502 x lightspeed is the direct successor to the famous g502 proteus core released nearly 10 years ago.
I had a g502 which i'd used a lot for a few years before the dreaded "double click" issue.
I started with a wired g502 (older model) where i was getting some cramping from games.
